This soft potentiometer is an interesting way to add an adjustable resistor / slide potentiometer to your wearable. You can use it to adjust the brightness of an LED, or as a sensor input to your Flora or Gemma. When the ring slides up and down the ribbon, the resistance from the end of the ribbon to ring will vary from ~100 ohms to about 8Kohm. To use as a voltage-output potentiometer, connect one end to ground and the other end to 3.3V or so, then measure the voltage on the ring in reference to ground. For an adjustable resistor, connect to one end of the ribbon and the ring, let the other end hang disconnected. The kit includes 50cm of specially-woven conductive ribbon and a stainless steel metal ring.

This 316L stainless steel thread falls somewhere between a thick thread and a thin yarn. Most sewing machines wouldn't be happy with this thread since its thick, and it has the 'furry' soft feel of yarn which makes it poor for most e-textiles/wearables projects. The tape itself is made of thin pure copper so its extremely flexible and can take on nearly any shape. You can easily solder to it, and the tape itself can carry current just like a wire. On the back is an electrically conductive adhesive. The adhesive can't carry significant current but it is very handy for sensing applications where you don't want to solder the copper tape.

This HUSB238 breakout plugs into the USB C cable and then over the CC lines will negotiate the PD request and commands. For example we can ask what voltages are available (the standard offerings are 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, 18V and 20V.) and then pick the highest one. Or if you need a specific voltage it will specifically select that one.

Finally, a way to get up to 4 same-address I2C devices hooked up to one microcontroller - this multiplexer acts as a gatekeeper, shuttling the commands to the selected I2C port with your command. Using it is fairly straight-forward: the multiplexer itself is on I2C address 0x70 (but can be adjusted from 0x70 to 0x77 using jumpers on the back) and you simply write a single byte with the desired multiplexed output number to that port.

This board has 18 total 'I/O' pins, 10 columns and 8 rows, which can be arranged as a matrix of buttons for a total of 80 switches. Or you can use any subset as individual GPIO input or outputs. The nicest part of the keypad driver is that it has a 10-element event FIFO queue. Since it's I2C (StemmaQT/Qwiic/EasyC compatible) it's very easy to use with any microcontroller or computer.

Just like 'classic' electret microphones, MEMS mics can detect sound and convert it to voltage, but they're way smaller and thinner. This microphone doesn't even have analog out, it's purely digital. The range is about 50Hz - 15KHz, good for all general audio recording/detection.

The CH32V203G6 has a single 32-bit RISC-V core, running up to 144MHz, with 10KB SRAM and 32KB single-cycle Flash. There's also extras you expect: ADC, timers, USB device, UART, I2C and SPI. It definitely does not run CircuitPython or Micropython, and Arduino support is very early. It's definitely not good for beginners!

This breakout makes I2S digital audio easy: all you need to do is power it with 3~5VDC, and provide BCLK (bit clock), WSEL (left/right word select), and DIN (data in). The data lines are 3.3V logic only. You can use 3.5mm jack or header pins for output and it'll work with any I2S capable microcontroller, e.g. ESP32 or Raspberry Pi. It has line level output, i.e. you can connect it to stereo amplifier or active speakers but not to headphones.

The HUSB238 USB PD sink chip is neat in that you can either use switches (really, resistor selection) to set the desired PD voltage or use I2C for dynamic querying and setting. This breakout will be handy for projects where you need a lot more than 5V @ 2A power: this adapter can give up to 20V at 5A - yes you can get 100W over USB C!
